Also, Blender should be able to stop the updates when new versions of Blender is released.

Blender doesn’t take donations to pay developers, instead it takes donations to pay for computers for programmers to work on Blenders features. The more contributors we have, the more Blenders features we can offer. The Blender Foundation has some rules about what you can do with the Blender donate money. You can’t use the donations to pay for your family, you can’t use the donations to pay for houses, the only thing you can do with the donation is pay for computers. For example, if you pay for four computers, Blender can only get to work on a limited amount of features. So the more ppl pay to donate, the better Blenders features will be.
I am an independent artist that rely on Blender for my work. Blenders features are, or at least used to be, very useful for the creative 3d designer. I think companies (like Autodesk) should focus on how to help artist in their software instead of improving the software. Blenders help is basic stuff, like good font support, edges, and meshes. IMO, features like textures and lights are not a good way to improve user interface. For example, placing lights is a pain in the *** in Blender.

I think it makes more sense if the developers simply take their time. Although I’m not happy about the release of 3.2.1, I think the development team made quite some progress in the development of blender 3.3 with less bugs and glitches as with the development of 3.2.1. Though the political problems with the blender foundation are terrible, and I have little to no confidence that they will be able to change the way of a release cycle in order to not be burdened by these problems in future.
I think the fact that the release date of 3.2.1 is known, it will help people to plan their future work with 3.3.
That means it will be easy to estimate the time needed for the development of 3.3, and plan their work accordingly. What is interesting is, that depending on the future of the blender development (as a foundation, and as an open source project) it might be possible to stop the release process.
For me, and for most blender users, the release of 3.2.1 represents a stable, bug free release. Yes, there is some not necessary lags in renderings with cycles, but what blender is used to do today is very unstable. Many areas were left unusable by the blender foundation during the development of 3.2.
I have one main goal with the next release:
To make all the material components for Blender ready to be used in game engines. Which means:
– keep performance under control.
– make the interfaces easier to use.
– make it compatible with the Game Engines (Cryengine, UDK, Unreal Engine, etc).

Hi. I’m working on a game for a platform (Steam) that already publishes a Blender game engine edition. My game is an open source 3D game, but it uses a lot of Blender features. I’ve read through this wiki tutorial to make texture streaming work properly in my game. It would be great if I could use the same 3D features on my game, without making the game engine “Blender”, too. I mean, I’m not going to see anything extra happening, since I’m already using Blender3D in my own project, but from a marketing point of view, it’d be great if someone here could tell me what’s the best option.
Here’s what I can tell: I need to create 3D objects, textures, materials, etc. My game uses this 3D objects/textures to populate the world, level by level. I’d love to use Blender3D in my own game, instead of my own engine, Blender, while keeping the standard Blender-only features for all other users. Is there any possibility I could use Blender3D, for example, to create all objects, textures, etc. in the 3D viewport in my own game, and then export the edited mesh, so I can use those objects/textures in my game and display them in the 3D viewport, exactly the same way I’m doing now?
1. I have no problem waiting for new version when the new version is ready to go beta, when LTS is ready, or when some other date is decided. I dont understand the rush to get Blender to LTS when it doesnt even have all the features yet. It would be like releasing Windows 7 without having all the features in place.
