Blender is very slow when it renders out a large number of meshes (preferably Cycles). I also have to manually render out each viewport, rather than having the renderer automatically render out the views for me. However, I do really like the toolbox tool’s functionality
I’m still waiting for major improvements to “the way” Blender works. A better workflow for sculpting, a more solid workflow for navigating in the Blender workspace (such as a left, right, up and down buttons in the toolbar), major improvements on how to work in Blender (like in Maya or Houdini) and, last but not least, a new interface. I really hope they can improve the interface because currently the workflow in Blender is very frustrating for people that come from other 3D software.
So this is my first review of Cracked Blender 3D 3.2.1. I think the new version has some good tools and that’s a good progress, but the 2.8 version has much better tools for me and the interface is still a slow stuttery mess. They really need to work on the UI and on the workflow of Blender.
With the “Orthograph Projector” and “Blendbeam Text” feature Blender is the only 3D package that really works on every platform. But for this the developers need to work on the usability. For me Blender is still a hobby for now. I wish they could improve a lot more the UI/workflow and the performance.
If you are designing something I really suggest using the existing uses of Blender for what it is meant for right now, and not have a dream of a future it will never get. the existing tools are what many designers are used to using for what its in its right now. AI, SceneMatic, the new modelling tools, video editing, etc. Its the nature of software, Blender is far more than one thing. You would never invest money in a car that just one piston is a single purpose thing, the same with software, theres good software, and theres great software. I would say that most other big companies are in the middle range, depending on the platform, etc. but Blender fails this test. For the 3D Animation industry, its quite at one end of the spectrum, at the low end of the spectrum. Thats not to imply Blenders done with a bad attitude. Its a heavily tested, researched and well done animation software, but the attitude of it is good middle to low end. Thats not to say high end is not possible, but its not natural. Its a more likeable type of attitude that lets you blow someone up and explode only when you want to and not in all manner of creative situations. Id recommend this attitude for artists to be working on, if they arent that kind of person, they get the opposite type of developer.
Though they are awesome tools in and of themselves, they need to be tuned and used correctly for your target audience, the difference between the tools is only one of esthetics.

But the key point is: this is not just the first time core developers are being paid to do this, it’s the first time core development has been done with this kind of financial support. That not only improves release cycles, it also enables the developers to spend more time on other things, such as improving the performance and features of blender itself.

What’s new in Blender 3D 3.2.1?
I think its a real shame that Blender is getting so much attention from the 3D industry and from the TV industry. I wonder if Blender would be as popular as it is if there wasn’t a huge industry behind it and all of that hype that is going on. It just seems like you have an opportunity to get your name out there and make a good impression and a name for yourself (MacQueen).
Look at what happened to Rhinoceros! Before Rhinoceros, the top animators preferred to use Shake or Autodesk to complete their work. Now you’ve got a new tool and you use it and you dont know if it will work or not. It’s just a learning curve for Blender and I don’t think anyone should feel bad about that. Just learn. Don’t worry about the learning curve. Just make your file, render and see what happens. If its alright, great. If not, learn. And if you are ready to learn about a new workflow, Blender has just made you a lot richer!
This seems totally reasonable to me. The better it is the more they donate and the more likely it is that they’ll decide to support the good stuff. In my opinion it’s not about Blender but about donations. Take a good look at the areas and tell me where your donations can get their best use.

The idea behind LTS was to add a stable version which will be supported by it’s users. This is not something which should be a bonus, it should be a given in an open source project. In the end, the sooner the Blender Foundation stops funding open source projects, the better for everyone.
