Some weeks ago I released an update for Winaero Tweaker that fixed a very important bug that prevented new tweaks to get exported. It was a big challenge to find this bug as it was causing the app to crash on export. This update is available here.

I released a new version of Tweaker, version 0.19 on 5-Nov-2012. I fixed a very annoying bug in the Tweaker Tweakbar. You can now preview your Tweakbar content using the ‘Show Tweaks’ button. To open your Tweakbar you just have to click the button. Now also the Tweakbar automatically shows the tweaks that you have that were not yet exported to the location you specified. To tweak you just have to drag your mouse over the Tweakbar. Then you have to double-click the tweak to activate it. The tweak will be added to your Tweakbar. The tweaks are grouped in subtabs, called ‘Classes’ in the dropdown menu of the Tweakbar. To export the tweaked file you have to select Export and then browse to the location of your tweaked file. I have also added a ‘Custom’ option that lets you browse for the tweaked file and use custom locations. For more details about the tweak options visit here. I also added a feature that filters the tweaks for you. By typing some keywords in the search box, you can quickly browse for the tweaked file that contain these keywords. Any saved settings on the searched tweaks are also listed when you select a tweak from the search result.

Windows 10 includes a useful tool to optimize the hard disk: the Disk Cleanup tool. While still an important tool, the Disk Cleanup no longer offers optimization options or requires administrative privileges. Winaero Tweaker is an advanced version of the tool. Its interface is simple, but it has many advanced features. For example, Disk Cleanup has a tool to optimize the RAM that runs without the need of Internet connection; it also has the ability to optimize the drives and optimize them for SSD drives; it has features to optimize the startup and shutdown speed. The Tweaker is designed to optimise the “counterswipe” feature in the 2019 Pnw mode. This is done by placing a timestamp of when the counterswipe is invoked (a feature that was deleted in the configuration file for 2018). This feature allows the rider to input how long they think they sat still within the “Wizard” menu, and this time is automatically used when the riders strated surfing the ride. This will probably explain the somewhat odd “timestamps” within the ride. It would be ideal if this feature was not automatically disabled in the control panel but we’re dealing with Win 9 here!

Not able to use Tweaker Pro, not even after disabling hyperthreading and. Using all defaults. Never noticed any change in performance even after switching everything off. After reading a few forums people say the same thing the same way.. what should I do? It not even worth to keep wasting my time for a few crappy settings from ASUS..
